TOPS
AIR RESCUE provides a variety of services globally.
The services consist of:
- Private air ambulance approximately 90 of all transfers.
- Medical escorts on commercial aircraft approximately
9 of all transfers and
- Commercial stretcher transfers approximately 1 of
all transfers.
PRIVATE AIR AMBULANCE:
These transfers are provided via a variety of aircrafts.
The majority are performed utilizing jets. But depending
on the patient condition, distance of travel, and budget
that is available, other aircraft are used. All aircraft
are configured as mini intensive care units to handle
BLS, ALS, and Critical Care patients. The medical staff
requirements are determined by the patient condition and
consist of Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists
or other specialists.
MEDICAL ESCORT:
When patients are medically stable and the expense of
a private air ambulance is not a necessity, TOPS AIR RESCUE
can provide our Medical Escort service. Typically these
patients require oxygen, basic monitoring, administration
of medications, and basic hygiene assistance. Medical
personnel accompany the patient every step of the way.
With the security issues and new airport restrictions,
our medical personnel provide the medical and personal
support that the patient needs to navigate through today’s
airports. This service costs thousands less than a private
air ambulance and could be exactly right for you and your
family.
TOPS AIR RESCUE will
provide, arrange and coordinate the entire Medical Escort:
- Obtain REQUIRED airline medical clearance.
- Booking of tickets for the patient and any family
members traveling.
- Arrange and provide all ground transportation.
- Coordinate the transfer with the attending and receiving
facility.
- Priority boarding and seating arrangements.
- Aeromedically trained personnel to care for the
patient
- Coordinate the entire transfer and update the family
as it progresses

COMMERCIAL AIRLINE STRETCHER:
Through our arrangements with International Commercial
Airlines, it is possible to transport patients that qualify,
and are stable enough to fly, utilizing our commercial
stretcher service. This service can save thousands of
dollars compared to a private air ambulance and the patient
receives expert medical attention. We arrange for a block
of seats to be removed from the aircraft, install a FAA
approved stretcher with a privacy curtain and provide
the proper medical team to care for the patient. Family
or companions can fly along with the patient and be by
their side.
TOPS AIR RESCUE
will provide, arrange and coordinate the entire Commercial
Stretcher transfer.
- Obtain REQUIRED airline medical clearance.
- Booking of stretcher installation, and tickets for
family or companions.
- Arrange and provide all ground transportation.
- Coordinate the transfer with the attending and receiving
facility.
- Arrange for the proper medical team, equipment and
supplies.
- Coordinate the entire transfer and update the family
as it progresses.
